Roy Ferrell Former Hayti Boy Dies in France
Roy Ferrell, former Hayti resident, died in France on November 12 from pneumonia while serving his country. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harve Ferrell of Harrisburg Illinois, a nephew of local Dorris brothers, and leaves his mother, father, and sister Jessie. He enlisted after returning to Harrisburg from Hayti seven years ago and was about 23 or 24 years old.
