Harrisburg football player Slarry J. Finley 21 returned home from Base Hospital No 3 after five shrapnel wounds to his right arm during fighting near Soissons on August 2. He arrived in the United States October 5 and will undergo another operation after returning to New Jersey. Finley enlisted in 1917, served with Company C of the 112th Infantry, and fought in Cha teau Thierry and other areas before his injury.
