Gillette County Soil Conservation District schedules a range tour to the Sonora Experiment Station for interested ranchers. Guided by Dr Leo Merrill, the rotational deferment grazing system begun in 1953 improved range and carrying capacity. Participants should contact their SCD supervisor or meet at 9:00 a.m. at the agricultural building.

Fritz Joseph Dies In Hunting Accident
Fritz Joseph aged 75, prominent Fredericksburg citizen and former Dodge auto dealer, died from an accidental gunshot wound while hunting at his son in law Marvin Ketron's Cherry Mountain ranch. He reportedly stumbled and fell discharging a .30 caliber rifle. Funeral held November 21 at Beckmann Funeral Home with Rev. Durkop officiating. He is survived by his widow, six children, 16 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
