Jacksonville Youth riders from 12 to 18 travel 133 miles by mule and motor trailer to reach Stonewall Texas. They bring a feather scroll invitation to Prestatert and Mrs Lyndon B Johnson and ranch foreman to attend the Jacksonville Rodeo duals with plans for a barbecue dinner on the Pedestales bank.
Fuk Cavaness of Junction was elected district commander at the District 21 Veterans of World War I spring convention held at the Legion Hall. The group planned the fall meeting for October 18 at Brownwood with a barbecue lunch served by Emil Birek's Lunch Room.
Clay ton Knopp and Cleto Martinez harvested 12 acres of wheat yielding about 30 bushels an acre, claiming the best yield in 16 years. Edward Stehling also hauled in wheat and oats on the Austin highway.
