The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will operate at Bethany Lutheran Church basement in Fredericksburg on March 29 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and March 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The goal is 200 pints or 100 donors daily. Call 372 to sign up. Mrs Ralph Gold leads arrangements with Mrs Pryor Mogford assisting. Bethany ladies host. Trained nurses and doctors will aid the Bloodmobile team.
Attendees at the funeral for Mrs. Anna Redman included her sister Mrs. W. O. Brown and daughters Mrs. Fred Whitewood Mrs. Ted M. Kiser Mrs. R. E. Peril and Mrs. Pete Whitworth. Mrs. Redman died at her Big Lake home at age 95.
Mr and Mrs Aden Nixon of Junction attended church services at the Pentecostal Church in Harper Sunday. Mrs Lemuel Jones and her children of Junction visited her mother Mrs Ollie Parker Saturday. Mrs W F Dees and daughter Carol spent the weekend in Kerrville.
Tral Calentine of Austin visited his children and mother Sunday, enjoying a family gathering in the city.
Mr and Mrs Ed Fisk of Kerrville visited the Granville home on Sunday afternoon at which time they spent several hours as guests in the residence located in Kerrville Texas.
Mr and Mrs Hubert Rahe and their children plus Miss Helen Kirchhoff and Mr and Mrs Max Lange attended the Lutheran Welfare Society Open House in Austin. Sunday Eugene Strackbein and a friend stationed at Lackland Air Base spent the weekend with his sister Mrs Aubrey Harper and family. Grandparents listed and a late note of a funeral at Sunset Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon for Jim Smith.
President E L Walter names committees for the Gillespie County Fair Association including Agriculture, Buildings and Grounds, Carnival, Concessions, Easter Fires, Fair Catalogue, Parade and more for the 67th annual fair on August 19 20 and 21. Harold Mathis of Harper was among over 400 students at Texas Technological College Lubbock named to the honor roll at semester’s end. Students in the top three percent of their class in either semester 1954 and with an overall grade average of 2.5 for both semesters earned the distinction.

Mrs Ted Bode and James River Ranch visitors came to Clifton Bode home, and Mr Ruben Roeder and son from Ingram visited Mrs Henry Moellendorf. Fred Bierschwale, patient in Big Springs Veterans Hospital, underwent surgery last Thursday and is reported improving. Mrs Arthur Baumann spent time in Kerrville with her son. Max Dittmar and family were dinner guests of Hy Lewis in Fredericksburg.
