Road accident safety rules for drivers traveling this summer
A state bar advisory urges drivers to plan for crashes with ten steps. Stop and render aid then call a doctor or ambulance, do not move injured persons, protect the scene, and illuminate wrecks at night if needed. Gather witnesses, exchange licenses, avoid admissions, see a doctor, and consult a lawyer early. Notify police, inform the insurer promptly, and file with the Department of Public Safety.
