FHA VA Mortgage Loans Made Easier For Builder

The Voluntary Home Mortgage Credit Program has improved access to FHA and VA loans for rural and outlying-area builders. Since March 1955 WHMC arranged 16 500 loans totaling 141 600 000 expanding financing and prompting lenders to focus on remote areas. The program links borrowers and lenders and reduces VA direct loan needs by aiding veterans to secure private channel loans. Representatives of the retail lumber industry serve on the 16 regional committees.
