Fire destroys Seipp Hall and injures many in Fredericksburg
Flames at Seipp Hall blitzed through the building as Mrs. Schnerr and others fought to raise the alarm. Firefighters faced freezing temps and water shortages while evacuating survivors. Miss Lulu Eckhardt and Mr Seipp helped others to safety, but four occupants perished in the blaze. The clock at Mr Seipp’s home stopped at 7 54 p m as power lines failed linking hall to residence. Journeying residents and visitors from nearby homes helped amid chaotic scenes.
