Two Texas buddies from Harper and Fredericksburg aboard a Pacific battleship share a common past as buckaroos and hope to run ranches after the war. Monroe J. Lang and Dudley M. Lee, both 19, are USNR crewmen with extensive WWII service across the Pacific including Leyte and Luzon, earning seven battle stars.
