Capitalism not doomed says American Way essay
The author argues capitalism remains essential to U S prosperity, opposing communist and socialist critiques. He asserts capitalism created vast wealth, fosters industry and free enterprise, and while imperfect, no alternative plan offers more virtues. He uses a toothache metaphor to urge careful reform rather than extraction, comparing a decayed tooth to capitalism’s flaws and urging preservation. A brief note adds local visitors Abe and Mrs Lee and Kerrville residents to Harper, plus a San Antonio trip by H A Porter and family.
