Kozy Klub members visit Mrs Ben Wiebos in Ackley for an oyster stew. all members present. Thursday Club hosted by Mrs Fred Horton at Hotel Winchester with sewing and Hallowe en colors. next meeting November 4 hosted by Mrs Charles Polley. Three W Society: Mrs Geo Lynk and Mrs Victor Miller host W W W Society with officer installations led by president Mrs Pagar and others. Local Social Notes Highlight Clubs and Reunions
Eldora and vicinity hosts hostesses for parties and showers. The Current Events Club plans an election forum at the library with voting questions. Monday Club presents a one act play with Irish character and musical numbers. Hartman and Walling families hold a large park reunion with dinner and lake visit. Junior and Senior music groups feature performances and dances. A Halloween party with Jack o lanterns lights up the Congregational Church group. An Eldora market day and various visits fill community life.
Elizabeth Ott Pioneer Resident Dies in Eagle City
Mrs Elizabeth Ott a early pioneer of Eagle City died at her daughter's home in Kamawah Sunday Oct 18 after a paralytic stroke Funeral services were held Tuesday in Berlin She was beloved by many friends who recall her ready smile and kindness. George Moyers of Ackley and others attended the service and road work near Eagle City progresses with trees blown out to straighten the hill.
