Bateson Heads Community Club For Coming Year

A large crew of workmen has arrived to install a modern automatic telephone system in Eldora. Poles will be set, cable strung, and the switchboard upgraded to provide state of the art service. The project promises the best obtainable lines and quicker, more reliable connections.

Rural Library Proves Success in Hardin County
A rural library experiment in Hardin County from August 1927 to August 1928 shows high usage and savings. Three libraries Alden Falls and Fidora offer 17 178 volumes with total circulation over 33 107. The program, funded by the county, costs 281 66 to operate and 116 73 in postage, with magazines included and funds used to buy new books.
