Sherm Needham recounts town life and a famed driver
The reminiscence recalls rural Iowa days with sleds and hitching, a feared local driver, radio ceremonies from Washington, political figures, and a nurse’s letter. It notes Carriers’ winter travel, a Centerville attorney’s shooting death, and regional butter production shifts with Iowa leading in creamery butter shipped to New York.
