Town Caucus Chooses Delegates in Heated Meeting

Forty five attended the Tuesday caucus to pick delegates for the county convention on Saturday. James L. Cameron opened the meeting, W. Needham chosen chair, H. E. Moffett secretary, and E. H. Lundy, Mrs. Greef, and Howard Modlin named as tellers. A ballot was demanded amid dispute over printed ballots and the list selected included D. W. Perssen, Rev. C. G. Treskow, Susie M. H. Greef, Grace Winnett, Dan Moser, A. W. Grossan, Stella Barnes, Hobary Follett, King, Lois W. Bloomquist. The session closed after acrimonious discussion and more talk of future caucuses.

Sweet Creamery Plan Draws Farmers Meeting

State Tourney At Falls For Girls Hard Hit By Districts

The state basketball tournament for girls may be held in Town Falls March 21 and 22, contingent on the home team winning their district. Principal W A Thalman attended a council meeting in Des Moines where dates and sites were set. Hamp ton hosts one district, with about 100 teams across eight districts, eight district winners advancing to state. District meets set for March 14 and 15 at Great Plains. The city of Eldora Iowa invites sealed proposals for curb head gutter and Portland cement pavement along Washington Street Edgington Avenue Twelfth and Fourteenth streets in the Court House Square area.
