Ellis Deverne Willis, born January 21 1896 at Steamboat Rock Iowa, son of Frank and the late, attended Eldora High School class of 1914, served as 2nd Lieutenant after Fort Snelling training, married Verna Sheldon in 1921, died December 14 1923 at Kelly Field during bombing practice. He was buried December 18 1923 in Steamboat Rock Cemetery. funeral conducted by Charles E Hoover Post with Major Caldwell in command. survivors include his wife and father. large funeral attendance from region.

Poultry and Grain Show Crowds in Hardin County
The Hardin County Poultry Show and four township grain and fruit fair drew large crowds with the biggest poultry entry yet in the county. Hamilton, born July 18 1887 near town Falls, Iowa, died December 15 1928 after a dental career in Eldora and Colorado, survived by wife Marguerite and two sons, with services held at the Methodist Church in Eldora.

New City Well Connected Up in Town Pumping Station
The junp is being moved over to the new well arrangement. A windmill like steel tower will hold ropes and pulleys to move heavy equipment.
