Serious Accident Near Ed Kuxton Farm Injures Couple

A Saturday night crash west of the Ed Kuxton farm east of town involved Leo Freed returning home with a horse tied on the left side. Mrs. I. Clay was seriously hurt with several broken ribs and bruises. the Clay car a Essex coupe was total wreck. The horse was killed. County Agent Paul Weichman was re elected for two years at 2000 per year.

Community Christmas Night in Eldora Delights Town

The Community Club hosts a Friday 7 p m Christmas opening with Santa Claus and Mrs Claus arriving by square, a police rope off for safety, and a short Legion Band concert amid festive window displays and illuminated trees. Clever forger captured near Alden in county jail

A 19 year old described as a clever forger was captured after a forged check of 200 dollars tied to Parker, bought clothes and booze, and was traced from Webster City to Ft. Dodge. Police recovered 148 dollars and an altered suit case. He awaits court action in the county jail. The Eldora Community Club announces Dr. Cora Johnstone Best will lecture next April on the Kingdom of the Clouds after securing her from Washington.

Express Office Redecorated for Christmas Rush

The Express office has been redecorated with silver and gray California Tint and a new counter and furniture added in the past two weeks. Annual Visit Schools Day countywide observations noted

About five hundred eighty people visited rural and town schools in Hardin county on Patrons Day November 2 during National Education Week. The Whitten consolidated first grade led with twenty four visitors, Robertson Primary and Grammar each housed thirty six visitors, and several township schools reported notable attendance ranging from two to twenty eight visitors.
