A former Eldora couple now living in Bonita Springs reports Donna’s eye passed their town with winds up to 179 mph and a four foot tidal surge. Damages included a destroyed trailer ramp and flooding along the Imperial River. Other local residents report little damage to homes in Fort Myers and Marathon, Florida. Nearby, Rotary’s 75 Year Club dinner at the country club and a Hardin county dinner host event were noted, along with voter interest in absentee ballots for the presidential election. Local court fines for speeding and registration violations are listed.
