The Child Study Club of New Providence will run a bake sale at the Reece Truck Lines office on Saturday November 23 starting at 9 30 am. Mrs Jesse Reece and her young daughter Pegey were admitted to Fldora Memorial Hospital Monday evening for medical care.
Tiny Murray led a community 4-H gathering with a singing group and talks on 4-H opportunities. Larry Wilson Neil Hadley and Willie reported on the state 4-H camp. Patty Winters spoke on 4-H plans for the coming year. Delegates and committee members assisted, with refreshments served. The Spears and Clampitts, visiting from Des Moines and Thailand, plan to present at Honey Creek church and share farm program experiences.
A fragment reports Mr and Mrs Marighore leaving for an Irish visit over the weekend. Glen and Tudy visited the life of their son Tom Spess and his wife Saturday afternoon at Marsh Alltown.
Eldora Assembly of God hosts a day full of services led by Rev. Leroy Whiteman with Missionary David Plymire as guest speaker. Activities include Sunday School, afternoon service, evening Harvest Home service, and Women’s Missionary Council gathering in the church basement. Wednesday features a Prayer Meeting and a Youth Convention at Open Bible in Des Moines. Also included is a state notice requiring private boats on state property to be removed by December 1, 1967, with enforcement and costs to follow.
