Voters Asked to Decide Three Special Issues
County voters will face three questions at the upcoming general election. A state proposal would authorize a Korean War bonus for Iowans who served between 1950 and 1953, funded by a 56 million bond. The county seeks approval to replace the county shop with a $50,000 fireproof structure and to allow sale of the current building housing the shop. A county conservation board would require a one quarter mill tax hike to raise about 11,000 for parks forests and recreation areas.
