County Assumes Logsdon Park Restoration Plan
Hardin County Conservation Board has assumed operation of Logsdon Wayside Park nine miles south of Iowa Falls on Highway 65. Restoration work will begin this summer after the Iowa Highway Commission turned the site over as it phases out state roadside rest areas. The park, founded in 1934 by Len Logsdon, sits nine miles from Eldora and Hubbard. facilities are largely in disrepair including shelter house, rest rooms, fireplaces, grills, playground equipment, and a suspended bridge over the river.
