American Home I Met Tuesday With Mrs C E Daggs and planned a sponsor event for next year on the woman's Club calendar. The next meeting will be held in the home of Lundy.
The N T T Club met Tuesday with WoL m members present. A fall afternoon was enjoyed. Two dollars was donated to the Red Cross. Refreshments were served by the hostesses. March 31 in the home of Mrs Theo Schaad. Dr and Mrs A Geer, Charles and Paul Schacht of Ft Dodge were Sunday guests in Eldora in the home of Mrs Geer's sister and family.
Mr and Mrs W A Uschkrat celebrated silver wedding with a 60 guest reception at the American Legion hall in Hubbard honoring their March 14 1928 marriage in Albert Lea Minnesota. Family present included son Lowell and daughters Carma and Mrs L T Lehmeier with three grandchildren. A brief program featured readings by Carma Uschkrat and Mrs Lehmeier, a history of the marriage read by Lowell, and songs by Eldon Dicken.
The St Marys Study Club assembled Monday evening at Mire Warry Harrisons home with two good attendees including Mrs Harry Holmes. They discussed The Tried Taper of the Onostins and enjoyed coffee, with plans for March 20 at Mrs Towrence McMortneys home.
The Newcomers Club held a canarie dance at the Wild Wife Club on Friday evening. The Rhythm Trio provided music and Don LaVelle called the dances. Refreshments were served by Mr. and Mrs. McGill, Mr. and Mrs. Groenwald, and Mr. and Mrs. Jensen.
The Open Fire Chanter of D A R met Monday at Mrs May B Cobb home with thirteen members present. Mrs R E Gray led the program on D A R approved schools. The D A R contributes to thirteen schools and owns three fully supported by the society. Plans for the centennial were discussed. The next meeting on April 20 will be guest day at Mrs R E Gray's home.
Mrs Faris hosted a Rebekah Bridge gathering with St Patrick motifs and refreshments. The next meeting is set for April 14, with Mrs L Putnam as hostess.
Chapter FA of the P E O met at the D Peisen home for a program led by Mrs Clarence. She discussed a panel and readings with illustrations by Mrs Look and planned a future meeting at Mrs A Beke vier s home.
Mrs. Carl Cordes returns home from Marshalltown after sinus operations at Deaconess hospital and recovering well. Numerous visits unfold across Eldora, including Mrs. May B Cobb in Iowa Falls, Leota Hardy joining, and trips to Mason City and Eldora. Movements involve families and friends, with attendees from Des Moines, Cedar Falls, Traer, Mason City, and more, reflecting a busy social scene this week.

The Jackson Rural Women gathered Monday at Mrs Mino Butler's home with co host Mrs Lo Gran zon. Jacqueline Macy presented a lesson on Floors and Wall Coverings. The United Nation Flag has arrived and a coup will begin work on it. Mrs Floyd Trickey and Mrs E Gunn plan to attend the next training school on Good Time for the Whole Family and will give the lesson at the April meeting. Refreshments were served.
The Mother Cabrini Study Club held its regular meeting at Mrs Raymond Rudolph with eight members present. A general discussion covered the lesson The Return of St Paul to Jerusalem. The next meeting will be April 6 with Mrs Don Coleman.
Alan Dillavou son of Mrs Thelma Dillavou was six years old on Saturday March 14. On Sunday Mrs Dillavou entertained at a birthday dinner in his honor. A decorated birthday cake centered the table. Alan received some nice gifts. Out of town guests included Mr and Mrs Lloyd DiNavin and family of Ridden and Mr and Mrs Ralph Conklin and son of Stanton O.
