Anderson Rites Held At Union
Funeral services were held at the Community church in Union for Charles Anderson 88 of Bangor. He died Saturday while working on the James Smith farm and driving a tractor when he became ill around 10 a.m. He is survived by his widow Verla Lloyd of Albion and two children Lester of Whitten and Mrs Andrew Vajert of Clemons. Training School Receives TV Sets Donation
Six television sets donated to the Iowa Training School for Boys by the Iowa Third District American Legion Auxiliary. Funds raised by posts in Hardin Franklin and Benton counties. City Spraying Costs Reported by El Dora Committee

Burling Offers Possession Of Property By Aug 15
Washington attorney Edward Burling has offered possession of the Burling property in El Dora for the new auditorium gymnasium site to the school by August 15. Two Radcliffe farmers were hurt in separate haying incidents last week within two days. Harold Alsager fell when a trip rope on a hay sling broke, breaking his knee. Kenneth Applegate suffered a broken arm in three places during a similar accident north of Radcliffe.

Early Eldora Lutheran Church History and 1928 Dedication
The congregation organized and joined the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod the following year. A pastor lived at Hubbard and land on the east side of Eldora was purchased in 1887. A new frame church served for over 40 years, and the present church building was dedicated on November 18, 1928.

Hardin county sheriff records show 111 vehicles involved in accidents from January to July 1, 1957, up from 96 in the same period last year. Six fatalities occurred, triple the 1956 six-month total, with injuries totaling 52, and property damage around $39,000, about $8,000 more than the prior year. RADCLIFFE word reaches that Mrs George Miller of Oelwein daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Thorson of Radcliffe was injured in an automobile crash last week.
