Eldora Jaycee member Leon Teske will compete for the Yona Jaycee Outstanding Young Farmer Award in Omaha during a program at the Omaha Hilton on Saturday January 22. Teske won the local Outstanding Young Farmer award last spring and is sponsored by Potgeter's Inc with Paul Eckhoff of Steamboat Rock presenting the expenses check.

Hardin County valuations increased by 1.5 percent for 1976, county auditor Jerry Pence said. The 1978 county total reached 468,069,947, up from 461,328,965 in 1975, with Eldora up 919,238 to 31,629,345. Eldora School District valued at 76,684,881, up 1,587,569. 1974 valuations to be used for 1977-78 tax levies.
