Steve Eldora and auctioneer Kenneth Reisinger donated services and Lyle Spurlin assisted as staff. A white rabbit and a black puppy sold for $1.50 then $2.50 each as Reisinger offered to dress them, boosting proceeds to $1,040.

Final rites for Leland Dutch Mer, 40, Hubbard businessman, will be held at 2 p.m. in Zion church Hubbard. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack at home Tuesday night and had lived in Hubbard with his wife while operating a service station on Highway 65. Surviving are his wife, his father A. C.
