Christmas mood sweeps Warrensburg as students vacate for holidays and townspeople enjoy packed venues, concerts and gift exchanges. Jack Oliver, who moved from a local farm to Eldora, found a prank took his pet rooster to his bed. The rooster was tied to the bed post and the floor covered with paper. Wendell Willcox considers hiring a detective over the incident. Skeeter the dog allegedly writes, and a cryptic letter to Rex remains unexplained.
