Mrs Larry Nadalph of Eldora who was hurt in a mobile accident earlier this month was moved to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids on Monday and had surgery Wednesday morning. She is expected to return home Friday.
Clampitt Farms of New Providence exhibi ted the Grand Champion Milking Shorthorn cow for the third straight year at Cedar Rapids All-Iowa Fair. This year the top honor went to a three year old cow named Sister Marie, with Clampitt also winning the two year old class and all group classes including Get of Dame and Produce of Dam. Mysha Farm of St. Anthony showed the reserve grand champion cow and had both junior and reserve grand champion bulls. The junior champion female went to Stuart Thomas of Keosauqua for a junior yearling heifer bred by Clampitt. Mrs. Ralph Gray and Mrs. Beulah Gray joined Clyde Sheldon to visit J H Gray in St Luke’s Hospital after two heart attacks.
The Conrad Public Library received a grant from the Iowa State Traveling Library for reference books valued at zero dollars to meet the sponsor’s specified standards. The grant requires the library to comply with a set of standards defined by the grant unit.
Lee Keniry of Eldora heard of the death of his mother in law Mrs Mary Beatrice Keniry aged 90 at St Anthonys Nursing Home in Due dudqie Funeral services were at St Johns Catholic Church Waterloo with interment in Dougherty Cemetery Cerro Gordo County Oppold Funeral Home handled arrangements She was born near Dick June 1 1878 and farmed near Dougherty with her husband until his death in 1938 later moving to Waterloo She had lived at St Anthonys about four years Survivors include two sons
