Delay in Street Improvements After County Fair
Street widening and other public works are paused until after the county fair. Possible plans include widening 15th avenue from the Christian church corner to Washington street or widening Washington street from 14th to 15th by removing parking on the east side. Estimated relocation of two electroliers and rerouting cable could cost 500 to 600 dollars. Also proposed is a 4 inch main from the George Priske corner to the sale barn with a fire hydrant, pipe on hand. A suggested main from west of the Roy Collins residence to the Sam Greensweig corner may be deferred to 1950.
