Bible study set for September 6 and Rev John Deedrich teaches. Ethel Gaffney of Chicago and Mrs. C. E. Daggs visited Mason City. Misty Mitchel tutten guest in Eldora. M. Nolte of Elgin and Bonnie Knowles of Hubbard were supper guests of Everett Clingerman. Clingerman hosted Noltes and will spend weeks there. Nolte is Clingerman’s daughter. Mr and Mrs Dages of Eldora and Ethel Gaffney of Chicago visited Clear Lake. Stephen Dages of Eldora spent Monday at Arthur Knowles.

About sixty people attended a Friday evening reception at Community church honoring Rev Wayne Sawtell and his family. Guests toured a flower decorated social room and enjoyed entertainment led by Mrs FS Schuler including a circle game, singing, a duets, and humorous reading. Local church leaders gave brief welcomes and Rev Sawtell responded, with refreshments served by volunteers.
