Army Extends Delayed Entry Program for Qualified Applicants

Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth L. Qelzler in Des Moines announces an extension of the Army Delayed Entry Program for certain qualified applicants. The maximum stay is now 270 days to leverage the automated school restriction system. Eligibility includes high school graduates or equivalency recipients and those entering active duty after completing required training at an Army Training Center or Army Review School. The extension lets recruits reserve a school up to nine months ahead. Time in the program is not counted toward advancement eligibility, and recruiters who refer three qualified applicants may benefit accordingly.
