Plans are complete for the Hardin County Conservation Art Contest to be held April 22 and 23, announced by District Conservationist Richard L. Bassett. Entries must be delivered April 22 at Hubbard Recreation Center, 9 am to noon, with display open April 23 from 1 to 5 pm. Any Hardin County resident from elementary to adult may enter. blanks and rules available at local banks, the Soil Conservation Office, or Sketch and Stir or Paint and Palette Dabblers clubs. Winning entries will be displayed at the Hardin County Court House in May.

No Injuries In Car-Pickup Crash At 14th Avenue Intersection
A car pickup mishap Monday afternoon at 14th Avenue and 14th Street left no injuries. A 1953 car driven by Richard Steinfeldt of Union was totaled. about $50 damage was listed on the pickup driven by Don Perkins of New Providence. Police officer Dennis Bachman said Perkins traveled north on 14th Street while Steinfeldt went west on 14th Avenue. charges pending.

Car Motorcycle Mishap Reported in Union by Sheriff
Hardin County Sheriff's Office logged a Union collision at 6 15 pm Tuesday at an intersection near Standard Station. George Walt 21 rider east on a motorcycle collided with Debra Risius 18 driver of a southbound car. Walt suffered a knee injury treated at Eldora Community Hospital. Damage estimated at 100 to Walt's Honda and 160 to Risius' Rambler.
