Scout Activities Planned for April and May
Eldora Neighborhood of Girl Scouts discussed April and May activities at the March 28 meeting. Senior Scouts plan a Walkathon to Iowa Falls April 16 for their Wyoming trip in 1978 and a May pancake supper. They host a tee shirt design contest due April 7 with blanks at school, and 7th grade Cadettes travel to Minneapolis April 2 weekend. Junior Scouts host a Dad-Daughter cookout in May and plan a Des Moines trip plus a May bake sale on May 7.

Saturday Bridge Host Highlights and Scout Plans
Mr and Mrs Beecher Crosley hosted the Saturday Bridge Club on March 26 with seven p.m. dinner at Blanche and Ethels Tea Room and bridge at the Crosley home. Prizes went to Mrs Lee Lundy Mr Crosley Mrs Bob Brown and Art Luglan. Brown and Mrs Brown to host April 9. Junior troops study requirements for Community Betterment tree planting. Archie Olson-led drive funds for a winterized lodge at Gaywood Clear Lake. Indoor day camp training set April 25 9:30 to 2:30 at the Methodist Church. Judy Brumfield named Wildlife Club site director for June. Fly-Up tentatively May 24 with camp-out May 27 at Wildlife Club. Neighborhood meeting scheduled 7 p.m. April 25.

Sylvia Molnar of Strand South Africa told Hardin County Farm Bureau Women and guests about her homeland at the Rural-Urban Tea on March 22 in the Second National Bank community room. She is the Rotary Exchange student at Eldora High School and showed slides of her country including music language customs people and places.

Shower Honors Debbie Kix Bride-to-Be
Debbie Kix was honored at a Come and Go bridal shower in Eldora hosted by family friends. About fifty guests attended the event on March 26 with corsages in blue and white, and gifts opened by Kathy Kix. Debbie Kix and Kevin Ellbeck plan an April 23 wedding.

Mr and Mrs Arvene Doering Alan and Donna visited St Luke s hospital in Cedar Rapids Sunday with sister in law and brother in law Penny Burhop who was injured in a March 24 car crash on her 13th birthday They suffered fractures bruises and lacerations Also visiting were Russell Ites and Roger of Des Moines at the King home Larry Anderson of Marathon visited Myron Anderson and family over the weekend.
