New Mood and Direction Set By Theater Leader Evans

Senate Tables Constitution Passes Tight Fall Budget

In a three hour meeting Wednesday night the Student Senate tabled the Campus Center Board Constitution and approved a fall budget of 3250, later raised to 3690, with revisions to give Senate checks on Board actions, clarify ex officio members, and determine official status for future funding. The session addressed numerous allocations, including Campus Fellowship, Revonah yearbook funding, Alpha Phi Omega, and the Student Directory, while noting current miscellaneous funds and pending recognition of the Center Board.

IFC Votes Down Proposal for Violation Restructuring

Inter-Fraternity Council defeated a plan to overhaul the violations committee. The measure would have shifted voting power to fraternity presidents and the IFC Executive Committee, and lifted the $100 rush violation fine limit. Bill Porter argued for broader executive faith. opponents cited unequal representation and unfair obligations. Doug Timbrook noted concerns over presidential voting, fines, and pledge class quotas.

Faculty split over one year discipline plan vote

Four faculty members were interviewed as the faculty prepares to vote on the Plan for Student Discipline at the Oct. 2 meeting. Campbell and Struck favor the plan, while Matthews and Rawson remain undecided. Rawson criticizes the JRC structure and questions faculty soundness on appeal boards, urging a one year trial with reevaluation at year end.

Project Link Maps Extended Program For School Year

Project Link maps a broader school year start in early October with Hanover students teaming with Madison children aged 8 to 11. CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP sponsors the effort, offering three member teams to work with six to eight kids, including trips to picnics theater and Clifty Falls pony rides.
