Marchers Gather for Vietnam War Protest in Washington

Senate Amends for Reapportionment in Student Senate

The Senate approved a living unit based reapportionment plan requiring a maximum of one senator per fifteen residents with at least two per unit and commuters counted as one unit. The amendment goes to a three week student vote and takes effect upon ratification. New members were named for the drinking policy study committee. petitions for judicial board seats are due November 2.

Senior Gift Decision Reached Despite Dissent In Support

The senior class will fund a fountain though 24 seniors refuse to contribute. 154 of 236 seniors voted. 57 supported the fountain. The ballot originally omitted a scholarship option, later added to most ballots. Hamilton criticizes the gift as decorative and urges a scholarly gift for Hanover or library resources.

Responsible Action Aims To Mobilize Hanover Students

Hanover students form Hanover Students For Responsible Public Action to address racial conflict poverty and world conflicts. The group plans a self education program and a Sunday meeting at 7:30 p m from Dr James Ferguson's home with transportation from the Campus Center at 7:20 p m. Participants include Jim Putnam Becky Thompson Fred Craig and Dan Ramage with about fifteen to twenty students involved.
