Hal Holbrook performs Mark Twain Tonight in Parker Auditorium for the Community Artist Series. The actor embodies Twain in voice and gesture, drawing from humor and scenes from Huckleberry Finn and Twain’s life. The 1959-60 off Broadway hit has toured extensively. the 37 year old actor requires three and a half hours of preparation for each show. Tickets for the 8:15 pm performance and box office pickup details are provided.

Campus Civil Rights Committee Proposed By Student Senate
A capacity meeting of Student Senate members, students, and faculty reviewed a proposal for a permanent Civil Rights Committee. Three 'Greeks' Acquire New Housemothers on Campus
Three Greek organizations on campus have new house mothers this year. Mrs. Pansy McKenzie of Brazil Indiana comes from Syracuse University where she supervised a sorority house for six years. She has four children and eight grandchildren and trained at Indiana State Teachers College and Purdue. Mrs. Anna MacDorman, new Phi Mu house mother, spent four years at the University of Kansas and three at Butler University, with five children and nine grandchildren. She studied at Earlham and Purdue, loves bridge and needlework. Mrs. Genevieve Hart serves as Phi Delts’ first time housemother, from Anderson Indiana with three children and two grandchildren. she attended Butler University and Kentucky’s training school, and enjoys interior decorating and fashion coordination.
