Hanover College opens the fall term with the largest freshman class in its history. The war reduces upper-class numbers but the class of 1918 includes twenty nine seniors, and enrollment is reported larger than last year. New faculty additions include Miss Mary Terhune and Dr Ballard, with praise for Joach Rider's departure.
Rose Poly overwhelmed Hanover at Wood's Field on Saturday, scoring 51 points with a dominant line and strong defense. Paulus started at quarterback for Hanover and Rose’s offense clicked, while Miles and Huntley stood out on defense as the Engineers ran away in the final period.
The YWCA and YMCA held their annual picnic in Hapey Valley Saturday afternoon. About seventy young men and women enjoyed hours of socializing and games before nightfall. Some left early due to the cold air, but many stayed until nine o clock. This first event aims to strengthen ties among college students.
