New Members Selected for Dramatic Club at Hanover

After a call for candidates for admittance into Hanover's dramatic organization the Dramatic Club chose new members for the year nearly filling its roll to the constitution’s limit. New amateurs listed include Elsie Tate Frieda Bach Coretta Balser Helen Cain Ruth Crutcher Kathrine Rutledge Ruth Terrill Nagel Kehoe and McLaughlin. The club plans three plays likely on Friday November 24 with titles The Merry Bachelors The Obstinate Family and The Fortune Hunters.

Literary Societies Report Boost in Membership

Both Philalethean and Union literary societies show rising interest with larger memberships. Union held a debate on the Reciprocity Treaty issue with Grosmin, Swan, and C Montgomery for the affirmative and Sitler, E Cravens, and Moffett for the negative. Five new members were initiated: Paul Knight, L L Huber, Robt Yunk er, S Vate, and H 38 Patton.

Roving mass meeting sparks new college spirit

A jubilant Hanover mass meeting declared blues dispelled and a new fighting spirit takes hold at the college. President Mann of the Athletic Association led the session with Prof Boyd, Captain McLaughlin, Coach Black, and others praising athletics. Two new cheerleaders were elected, Miss Niles reelected leader for the young ladies, and songs closed the gathering with renewed vigor.

Halloween Social at College Promises Old Fashioned Fun

The faculty ladies plan an old fashioned grandmothers party for Halloween at the gym from seven thirty to ten. No formal invitations are issued but all college men and women are invited to attend the celebration with pies apples and other treats.

Special Car for Franklin Game Sparks Campus Rally

A mass meeting backed a plan to send a special car of rooters to Hanover North to Franklin College for the annual gridiron clash. With about five weeks until kickoff, organizers planned to negotiate with B and O officials for favorable rates, likely to be granted.

Lola Wilson Leads Campaign for Y M and Y W Building Upgrades

Miss Lola Wilson spoke in chapel Thursday to kick off a campaign for improvements to the Y M and Y W buildings. Her efforts showed promise with early support and momentum.

Hanover Opens Football Season in Narrow Loss to KMI

Hanover. Kentucky Military Institute clash in heavy rain on a muddy field with a score of 5 to 0 in favor of KMI. Scoring came on a first quarter forward pass and a subsequent 5 yard goal, while Hanover repeatedly moved the ball but could not close the gap before the half and late third quarter.
