Mardi Gras Homecoming Queen Crowned On Hanover Campus

Jennifer Smith was crowned Homecoming Queen as Hanover College marked its Mardi Gras style celebration. Alums arrived for the parade, bonfire, and Scrap Day events with Greek open houses and a final dance featuring the Day Combos from Louisville and Sophie Craig.

Jennifer Smith, a Flora Illinois junior, crowned queen of the 1964 homecoming weekend by Master of Ceremonies Warren Prell. Raye Ann Fell wock Randle crowned Jennifer as President Horner presented roses. Queen’s court includes Margot Baldwin Mary Jane Mundy Susie Northam Judy Webb. ceremony at 10 p m Mardi Gras Ball with intermission entertainment and the first dance. Jennifer is the first independent candidate crowned homecoming queen since 1949.

Scholars Day honors at Hanover College assembly

Outstanding scholars of Hanover College will be recognized next Monday as Dr. Samuel E. Braden delivers the Student Recognition Day address. Braden is Vice-president and Dean for Undergraduate Development at Indiana University, with scholars from Alpha Lambda Delta Phi Eta Sigma and Gamma Sigma Pi receiving honors.

Talent Night to Celebrate Dad’s Day with Sorority Sing

An all campus talent night kicks off Dad's Day on October 24 with Sorority Sing plus an all school talent show. Pandell and the sophomore class organize a diverse program featuring magic acts, male singing groups, chorus lines, and about fifteen acts in total from four sororities and all four classes.
