Football Prospects Brighten as Season Progresses
The last practice week left the prospective team in better shape than hoped. With many out, two husky teams scrimmaged, producing real games each night and close scores. Ten key players return and several new men, including Rogers and James, have shown strong talent, boosting confidence for a favorable season. The team aims to win most scheduled games, with an away game at London against K.M.I.I and the first home game on October 31 against Mooresville.

The first meeting of the new Board of Athletic Managers was held last Thursday in the history room with both old and new members present. Officers elected: Ray Hufford president Edward Trotter vice president W Johnston secretary and property man Professor Culbertson treasurer. Miss Leota Denny ex-17 pledged Pi Beta Phi at Franklin. The Sangerkond elected Mary Carson president and Marie Rapp secretary treasurer. Jack Blackwood was in Columbus last weekend.
