Freshman Picnic Makes Hay Ride to Clifty Falls
Freshman class enjoyed a hay ride to Clifty Falls on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. They arrived hungry and ready for a supper prepared by the party’s girls. Sophomores tried to intervene but were blocked by the stronger Freshman scrapping material. Miss Eloise Millis and Prof. Feuerhachs chaperoned.

Tuesday after chapel the three upper classes and faculty select representatives to the Athletic Managers board. Seniors pick Ray Hufford and Kenneth Montgomery, both football and basketball players. The college men organized a chorus under Professor Alexander with about forty expected to join. Ira Allison was elected president and Ray Hufford secretary. Sue McKay will accompany. A Sangerbund for the girls was formed, joining four musical groups: Sangerbund, Glee Club, men's chorus, and mixed chorus.

College Point activities report by Dramatic Club
The Dramatic Club held its first meeting Monday night at the College Point House. The Freshman class elected officers last Tuesday afternoon in the mathematics room with Paul McCain as president, Miss Dwyer as vice president, and Porta Hart as secretary-treasurer. Robert Stanton ’16 is at Franklin College this year and John B. Allison ’13 visits his Phi Can brothers. Seniors held a camp supper at Ryker's Point last Friday evening. President and Mrs Millis hosted a six o'clock dinner for the faculty and their wives last Friday evening. Miss Leota Denny ’17 left for Frankie to enter college.

School Opens With Good Enrollment At Hanover
The term begins Wednesday September 16 at 2 00 pm. The opening address by Professor Woodworth on The Causes of the Present European War cites political economic and socialistic reasons for the conflict. Four faculty changes include Feuerhake to mathematics Oldfather to ancient languages Beck to modern languages and a new music department led by Professor Alexander enrollment in the college department about 234, higher than last year with many returning students.
