Dutch born mime Frans Reynders will perform for an assembly next Monday October 7 as part of a touring series to colleges. He will arrive Sunday and meet Hanover Players at 1 30 pm then lead a 3 30 pm seminar in Parker Auditorium for interested students.

Hanover Senate slashes budgets at October meeting
Senate slashed budgets for Hanover College groups on Wednesday October 2 with four groups cut by over 200 dollars. The Revonah and Triangle suffered the largest cuts at 300 and 340 dollars respectively. The Theater Department and band also faced substantial reductions. Some groups received more than requested or unrequested grants including a 315 dollar leadership conference and 159 dollar excess for a big name entertainment act.

Wild Weekend Planned For Homecoming
A 1920s themed homecoming weekend features electric guitar music by The Sultans from Louisville. Activities include Freshman-Sophomore contests and an all-school pep rally on Friday, a Saturday homecoming dance themed The Good Old Days, and decoration themes by living units. Queen candidates were selected by Hanover fraternities sororities and living units, with names and photos to appear in next week's TRIANGLE.

Civil Rights Group Plans Organization
An organizational meeting for a Hanover committee on civil rights met Thursday evening September 26 in Classe 102. Thirty students and twelve faculty attended, called by Judy Moffett and Rob Baker. Advisors Dr. V. S. wmclrary and Dr. Edward Huenemann will guide the group to address discrimination at Hanover College and in nearby communities. A seven member subcommittee was formed to investigate known or suspected discrimination and draft an action plan for student faculty organization. The subcommittee includes Moffett Baker Arlene Andrews Cal Brand Shirley Bryant Janet Cavins and Dick Gingery. A second meeting is set for Thursday October 10 at 7 00 in Classic 102 to vote on the plan and proposals.

The college thanks the student body for cooperation in Acquaintance Day for high school visitors last Saturday. The choir and many students helped in various roles. More than 750 visitors left with a favorable impression of the college due to student assistance.
