Home Guard Organized at Madison Hanover Pledges $600
After the National Guard left Indiana, the adjutant general assumed control and is transforming county home guard groups into a state militia. In Madison and Hanover, students joined the drive, with about ninety total enlisting in the new unit to support the war effort.

Hanover College defeated Company B 334th Regiment from Camp Taylor Louisville at Madison on the campus golf course under Madison Country Club auspices. A campus pep rally raised 600 dollars for the Y M C A war fund with 408 pledged by students.

Seniors Make Formal Appearance for Class of 1918
Friday morning at the Chapel the Class of 1918 held a formal Senior entrance. Women wore black hats and men carried canes, with unusually well behaved conduct amid quiet. The college pays its respect to the class of 18 as Lyceum Course two nears on November 28.
