Minstrel An Eye Opener at Y M C A Fundraiser
The Minstrel show presented without postponement delighted Hanoverians. Prof. Young and Dean Clark Hill praised the value received. J B Allison directed a talent rich troupe aiding the Y M C A treasury by about fifty dollars. Interlocutor J E Almond led a lively cast with humor and song. The second half featured Clio’s dramatic piece A Lucky Chance with Charley Velvet and Felix the Dutchman.

Pan Hellenic Dance at the Gym Draws Big Crowd
The Shirtwaist Dance a Pan Hellenic social event last Friday night featured a grand march at 8 with novel programmes and dances to fraternity music. A punch bowl and lemonade refreshed guests while walls wore fraternity colors. Chaperones included Prof. and Mrs. Montgomery and Miss Harding. Out of town guests were Miss Carrie Moffett Miss Gene Milligan from Madison Miss Helen Heaton of Knightstown and Raymond Crozier of Madison.

Hanover Man Dies in Elmira Ill
Rev Edwin H Thias class of 1902 died at his Elmira Illinois home on May 12. An honor graduate he taught briefly before entering McCormick Theological Seminary class of 1906. He won the Blackstone fellowship in New Testament Greek allowing two years study in Germany at Marburg and Berlin. He later taught at McCormick Seminary and served Elmira church as pastor. His wife Miss Dell Gossard an hon or graduate and two children survive.

Weather Delays Baseball Schedule Until Year End
Inclement weather prevents completing baseball material and postpones games. The next and possibly final contest of the year will be the Annual Student-Alumnus game.
Earlham and Hanover Shine in Annual Tennis Meet
Earlham and Hanover faced a small field as DePauw did not enter and Rose Poly and Normal boosted Earlham’s warm up. Hanover and Earlham produced tight doubles and singles with Millar and Archer shining as steady performers in a meet that praised effort over margins.

Gym Director Nagel Departs for Cincinnati Y M C A
W H Nagel leaves after three years as Gymnasium Director at our school to take a post at the Cincinnati YMCA Gymnasium. He coached basketball for two years and fostered physical culture while earning respect from students and townspeople. He belongs to Philarathean Literary Society and Phi Gamma Delta.

Student seating shuffle marks chapel disruption
The Juniors moved into Senior seats during Friday chapel, followed by the Sophomores. Freshmen stayed seated. Seniors returned to their places in days that followed. Visitors included Helen Heaton and Stella Kehoe. Ruby Reynolds returned to Texas. Harriet Elliott spent Friday in Jeffersonville. The Spring Primary Oratorical contest is set for June 4 at the Presbyterian church with several manuscripts awaiting judge review.
