Thurber Carnival to draw Family Day crowd May 12 13
The Thurber Carnival a collection of musical skits will be presented by the Hanover Theatre on Family Day weekend May 12 13. The cast includes Roz Heinz Judy McClamrock Gretchen Shaw Gail Crellin Jim Cunningham John Jeorse Leon Scott Mark Bertschi and Frank Hamilton with Dr Joseph Withey directing assisted by Cathy Deuber. A movable treadmill stage will handle scene changes and a student jazz combo will accompany the performance. Reserved seats are available in Parker Auditorium box office. Students free with TI.D. cards, adults $1.25, children 75c.

Dr. Henry P. Coppolillo of the University of Michigan Medical Center opened Mental Health Week with the address The Reality of Mental Illness and joined informal discussions in Crowe Hall. Fritz Poliquin and his wife spoke on Living with the Retarded Child. He earned his medicine degree in Rome and continues training in Chicago in psychiatry and psychoanalysis, having held leadership roles at Michael Reese Hospital.

IRC To Send Dress Policy Back To Dean Of Women
Inter-Residence Council voted unanimously to send their dress policy change proposal back to Dean Nolte for reconsideration. The plan would allow women to wear casual clothes in classroom buildings after 3 30 p m and a letter urging review will be sent next week. Marge Fox, president, urged attendance at next Thursday’s IRC meeting to shape goals for next year.

Huenemann Receives Higher Post at New York Church
Dr Edward M Huenemann long time Hanover College theologian and chaplain has been named associate in theological studies and resident theologian for the United Presbyterian Church in New York City He will speak in chapel May 15 and assume duties in August The move follows a tenure at Hanover since 1958 including a 1965 appointment as chaplain and includes degrees from Lakeland McCormick and Princeton Theological Seminary he will address a last lecture tone chaplaincy sermon in May and depart for New York City duties
