Outdoors This Year Taft to Speak at Graduation
Robert Taft Jr a Republican congressman since 1955 and former majority floor leader 1961 62 will address graduates. The outdoor program is funded by Hanover Fathers Association gift of an outdoor speaker system. Taft chairs or sits on the House Banking and Currency and Education and Labor Committees. He holds Harvard Law degree and Yale undergraduate, 1939 graduate, is married with four children ages 21 to 8. Dr John Fox a Presbyterian synod executive will deliver the baccalaureate address.

New Mexico Editor Dickey Visits Assembly and Lueders Speech

Beveridge to Speak Tuesday at Virginia Seminary
Dr. Lowell P. Beveridge of the Virginia Theological Seminary will be Tuesday's chapel speaker. He is an organist, choir director, and professor. Beveridge formerly served as organist and choir director at St. Pauls Chapel and earned three Harvard degrees including a PhD between 1925 and 1943.

Dr Yarnelle joins MAAs Board of Governors
Dr John E Yarnelle head of the Mathematics Department has been elected to the Board of Governors of the Mathematical Association of America serving a three year term. He will attend the August conference in Boulder Colorado representing the Indiana District. He coauthored Mathematics A Modern Approach with Marie S Wilcox. The 9th grade text aims to deepen understanding and prepare students for further courses and is available at the College Store.

Fine Arts Festival Heads Week at Speed Museum
Fine Arts Festival runs through May 25 at Long with about 100 selected prints judged by Mr. Addison Franklin, curator of the Speed Museum of Art Louisville. The program also includes a Spanish film La Violet era at Classic 102 and a student music recital in Parker Auditorium.

Beatty to preside over SNEA with Hanover ties
State Superintendent William Wilson spoke at the Student National Education Association gathering. A symposium Careers in Teaching featured Hanover College alumnus Dick Beatty, Art Gorman, Phil Wasmuth, and Leslie Eison.
