Hanover Student Judy Bortner Wins Woodrow Wilson Fellowship
Hanover senior Judy Bortner, a sociology major from Richmond Indiana, is named a Woodrow Wilson Fellow for graduate study at Columbia University New York City. She is the first Hanover woman to win the fellowship which funds full tuition and 1800 for living expenses for a year.

Off Campus Courses Span Five Week Term
During the spring term, several courses depart off campus for five weeks. A Spanish conversation trip to Mexico City with Mr. Trimble includes 29 students under Instituto de Chiapas collaboration. Hanover Delegation Excels at 11th Little U N Meet
Mock Ambassadors Excel Indiana University hosted the 11th annual Little U N gathering Feb 26 to 29 with 400 delegates from 22 colleges. Hanover sent seven students Ann Loop Bill Lesneski Mark Bell Ann Marsh Art Keller Don Moschenross Margie Kimmel. Howard Hanover’s political science instructor and organizer noted the program aims to familiarize students with United Nations policies and major global issues like Cyprus Africa and Red China. The Hanover team represented Greece and the Malagasy Republic and was among the most outstanding groups with Bill Lesneški named top worker in the International Court of Justice committee.
