Montgomery and Hart win in tennis meet between Earlham and Hanover

Hanover defeats Earlham in most events as Montgomery and Hart lead singles and doubles. Hart defeats McMinn in a tight three set singles match while Montgomery and Converse claim the doubles title 6-0 6-3 6-1 on the Phi Gam and Beta courts with strong serves and steady play throughout.

New Students Enter Normal Course In Several Indiana Towns

The new students Annie Sweet Minnie Wilson Scottsburg Alice O'Brien Dora Bush Petersburg and Bessie Montanze Leslie Buress Hazel Buress Vevay entered the normal course. Several took the teachers examination in Madison last Saturday. Miss Katherine Hofer and Roseda Pence attended the Columbus commencement last Friday.

Colgate elected editor in chief for Revonah staff

At a sophomore class meeting last Monday the Revonah staff for next year was chosen. Cleon Colgate will serve as editor in chief, Ray Hufford as assistant editor, William Johnson as business manager, and Harry Iddings as assistant. Miss Gladys Cox oversees next year’s calendar and joke department. Officers are elected a year in advance to gather material over the summer. The junior class typically produces the annual rather than the senior class.

Sophomores Win Interclass Tennis Championship

The sophomores claim first in the interclass tennis tournament with Trotter and Johnston partnering in men's doubles. F James and Britan win mixed doubles, Rapp and Hughes take women’s doubles. Freshmen finish second, juniors third, seniors last. Some results were illegible in the percentage sheet.

Miss Ruth Culbertson Picked as Crestomathean Speaker

Miss Ruth Culbertson a 1910 graduate was chosen as speaker for the Crestomathean girls literary society at the commencement of the societies. The custom requires each society to select a speaker in alternating years and Crestomathean invited Miss Culbertson who was active in school.

Rev H W Barger class of 1894 will address the Philal Literary Society at the June 16 commencement. Nine graduates from the society listed include L H Cap hart G N Hufford Buford Butcher J L Carlisle H H Lawson Wilbur Protsman Alfred Prottsman W H Nagel and C R Voris. Barger is McCormick Theological Seminary trained and has led churches in Gardner Illinois Henry Illinois and is now in St Anthony Idaho.

Yunker Elected Delegate to ICA L Meeting

At a Board of Athletic Managers session Robert Yunker 15 was elected Hanover delegate to the ICA L meeting next fall. He will preside in place of President Allen R Ramsey who graduates this year.

Physical Education Course Completes Under Coach Hotchkiss

The newly added Physical Education class completed a two hour program covering playground administration gymnasium work track and field athletics and team sports. Credit was awarded to Carlisle Hufford Bach Miller Williams Terrill Montgomery Ramsey and Swann. The course will continue next year.

The Hanover Presbyterian church hosts the annual Primary Oratorical Contest at 7 30 p m on Saturday June 6. Decoration Day Observed at Hanover Cemetery

A Veterans Civil War procession from the Public School to Hanover cemetery led by the Hanover drum corps marked Decoration Day. Dr J C Garritt gave the Memorial address urging defense of higher ideals. graves were decorated with flowers and taps was sounded by the Boy Scouts Master.
