Hanover Plans Risky Endowment Shift Aimed at Higher Returns
Hanover College expands its endowment strategy to invest about 40 percent of funds in blue chip and common stocks, boosting total invested share to the 90th percentile with a goal of 12 percent annual dividends and appreciation. The Trustees’ Investment Committee, led by J Fred Risk and Eugene Hibbs, now steers a policy favoring growth over ultra safety while maintaining financial stability.
