Hanover alumnus Dr. Kenneth M. Montgomery, retired from international accounting, has been appointed Vice President for Business at Haile Selassie I University in Addis Ababa. He will help consolidate higher education into one university, funded by the Agency for International Development with Peace Corps staff assisting. Montgomery, class of 1915, earned honors including an honorary Doctorate of Laws in 1952 and the Alumni Achievement Award in 1960.

The Hanover College Theater directs seven one act plays this spring taught by Dr. Joseph Withey. Casts were chosen by the directing class with two plays written by Hanover students. Oedipus Revisited by Billie Anderson and The Party by Marcia Burkert will be directed by Francie Shimek and others. Performances schedule through March feature Still Voices How to Keep a Husband A Sunny Morning Aria da Capo and The Shirkers with dates Feb 4 Feb 13 and March 6.

Three Hanover Players Earn Stage Honorary Induction
On Thursday January 17, Bettye Cassaday, Sharon Hensler, and Robb Baker were initiated into Hanover Players in Parker Auditorium band room. The local dramatics honorary requires at least thirty points from play production work. all three held leading roles in The Queen and the Rebels this season.

I U Dean To Set Fourth Greek Challenge Tuesday
Indiana University Dean of Students Robert H. Shaffer will address an all Greek assembly on Tuesday January 29 during assembly hour on Contemporary Greek Challenge. Shaffer native of Delphi Indiana earned AB from DePauw MA from Columbia and PhD from NYU. He has led IU student counseling since 1955 and guided the student government system. He formerly worked with the National Boy Scouts and has served as a consultant in Thailand. He joined IU in 1941 after World War II and participates in United Fund and other community projects. Shaffer is a Phi Delta Kappa member and a Sigma Chi. DePauw awarded him a 1961 special citation for achievements and service.
