Visiting Writer Due Next Week on Campus
English department head Dr. Edward Lueders announced visiting writer James Norman Schmidt will arrive next week for a three week stay. He will speak Thursday at 7 30 p m in Classic 102 on The Latin American Personality Private and Public. His Assembly May 10 address will be The Non Hero in the No Novel. A May 20 lecture on a literature topic is planned for 7 30 p m in Classic Hall. Living at the guest house Schmidt uses the pen name James Norman and will keep a flexible schedule for campus groups to arrange.

Mrs Edith Platzer wife of the Austrian Ambassador to the United States will be Monday's assembly speaker She is a former actress and will discuss European events in relation to Austria and analyze currents shaping its destiny Her husband Dr Wilfried Platzer has served as Austrian Ambassador since 1958 and held prior posts in Washington and Vienna.

May Day Celebration to Entertain Families at Campus Park
A traditional May Day program features the college choir and band, tumblers and acrobats, and the Quad Hoppers folk group. The May Day Queen will be crowned, with Sandy Wilcox delivering the proclamation. Fourteen senior candidates compete for the honor, followed by a lawn luncheon and a doubleheader baseball game with Manchester College. The Fantasticks musical closes the day, with tickets $1.50 for adults and $1.00 for students available at Perker Auditorium.

St Louis Architects Picked for Hanover Student Center Design
St Louis firm Sommerich and Wood was chosen to design the Hanover Student Center with Harvard design professor Gor ley as consulting architect. Construction hoped to start by September 1966 with a main lobby snack bar swimming terrace and offices. The center will house the TRIAN GLE and the REVONAH rooms a college store and guest rooms aimed to boost campus cohesion and education.

Fantasticks to Play at Hanover College Theatre Weekend
The Hanover College Theatre will present The Fantasticks on May 7 and 8, a light off-Broadway comedy by Schmidt and Jones. Hanover College renovates sorority court with a landscaped redo funded by an anonymous donor. Walter Dietsch led the design. Maschmyer-Hill of Columbus, Indiana, will deliver shrubs by May 5. Four bicycle racks are added at the College Library Wiley Hall Goodrich Hall and the new women’s residence hall.
