Track Meet Called Off By Weather In Franklin Hanover
Weather forces postponement of the Franklin versus Hanover dual track meet scheduled for Saturday the 22nd. Preparations on the local field have drawn many athletes and spectators as track work nears the hoped for May events. A Trimble Jefferson County High School meet is planned for May 13 under Hanover Board of Athletic Managers with entries due by May 5 and no entry fee. A banner prize will honor the top school and relay winner. Reverend Francis Marion Elliott, former Indiana pastor and church leader, died March 21 at age 60. Temple R. Hollcroft, 12, received a fellowship at Cornell University.

Miss Helen Norton of Bedford Indiana will present an entertaining program at the church on Friday evening April 28. She is a Northwestern University Comstock School graduate with lyceum experience and will perform humorous selections pianologues and costumed pieces with aid from the Girls Glee Club. Tickets 25 cents, available from YWCA cabinet members for the benefit of the YWCA.
